Sick Leave: Under New Jersey's Earned Sick Leave Law, you may be able to accrue up to 40 hours of Earned Sick Leave per year. Go to https://www.nj.gov/labor/worker-protections/earnedsick/ to learn if you are covered by this law. You can accrue Earned Sick Leave at the rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 40 hours of leave per calendar year. You begin to accrue Earned Sick Leave the first day you start working for us. You can begin using Earned Sick Leave accrued under this law 120 days after you start working for us. Up to 40 hours of unused earned sick leave can be carried over into the next calendar year. When your assignment ends for any reason, unused sick leave will be frozen and carried over into your next assignment for up to 6 months. TeleSearch will not pay out any remaining sick time when an assignment ends for any reason.
Call Out Policy: Per established procedures, if you are not able to report to work for any reason, you must notify your TeleSearch Staffing Consultant in advance of your scheduled start time. If you fail to contact TeleSearch in advance, it could affect whether you get Paid Sick Leave for the absence. Sick time must be reported to TeleSearch, including submission of the required NJPSL form, within the same week ending date of the occurrence. A doctors note is required for 3 or more consecutive sick days. Failure to report sick leave in a timely manner will affect your ability to be paid. Most conferences at school, doctors’ appointments, etc. are set up in advance; it is at this same time that you should notify TeleSearch of your planned absence.
